When you try to do something creative every day to challenge yourself and use the Stream Deck a lot then it makes sense to make your own icons for the Adobe programs you use most. So drew the six Adobe programs that I almost use daily nowadays and used those to make icons for the Stream Deck. A device that changed how we work in the productions using to automize an array of workflows, but also how I work at home. Even using it as a second screen for some of the small amount of crypto I sometimes trade using

Stopped smoking a few months back and instead bought a midi keyboard and started to make some relaxing tracks to calm my mind. Nothing fancy or what I would see as a release, but mostly just tracks that I can put on as background sound/noise while working or reading the morning news. Made to be listeners on headphones. Decided to just post this track on a private SoundCloud so I could embed it on this page for anyone to listen. Maybe it helps to calm down in these, for many, stressful times. And who knows. Maybe I include this track

To learn to draw better on a tablet I decided to do daily doodling of small things that happen during that day. Challenging myself to post this every morning the moment I wake up from the previous day as an Instagram Story and maybe in a separate section of my blog. That last one I have not really decided on. Maybe a weekly summary or once a month only a selection? We will see, but at least you can see it every day 7 days a week as long as I can on my Instagram. Instead of Sketchbook, I decided

Sometimes you get bored. Or just have this little idea that gets stuck in your head. One of them was that I wanted to try to make a character in Blender and as inspiration for this one was the avatar I had within DreamHack Beyond. An online festival experience that the company I work for made to arrange a festival during these pandemic times. Definitely checks it out when something like this comes around again as you not only meet new people, but can also get previews for upcoming games, steam keys, in-game items and if you are really committed

During the first lockdown in The Netherlands, I started to pick up Blender again and made these two different renders that I am pleased enough with to share online. It was something to take the mind of the regular work as that got me mostly bound to the computer without having to travel to the canceled festivals. The first one is an interpretation of a mural that can be found at De Voortuin. A pub I frequently visit in my hometown Utrecht and if you walk to the back you can see this piece on the wall. Providing there is

Late to the party, but we are here now. I bought a tablet (Samsung S6 Lite to be precisely) to use as my personal driver besides my worklaptop and… to sometimes draw and write a little bit. Mostly will be some concepts for future Blender renders, but who knows. Maybe some cartoons in a while. Will try different drawing apps this coming period starting out with Sketchbook. On the face of it decent program (only issue I had at the start is to find the eraser as for that you will need to just set transparency differently). No really content

Here is a little selection of photos made during August 2021. Planning to do this every month to do some kind of story in pictures of what I have been up to besides regular work. More photos, blender projects, and other things you normally can find on my Instagram. A little walk to Lunetten Started walking more and more to train for the 4daagse (4 days of 40km walk). One of the ways I do that is to do my groceries in different parts of the city. These are photos of my little walk to Lunetten to checkout Ekovers. A

Decided to start some photography again and make one post every month with a selection of those images. Haven’t touched the camera that often for a while (mainly when we were on holiday), but I am also training for the 4x50km walk in Nijmegen it felt like something extra to do. A while ago I compiled a selection of my photographs I made between 2010 and 2019 in another post. I will often post new photos on my Instagram. Some of my photos and animations you can buy on Pond5 (20% off when clicking this link) or Adobe Stock with

Some may know that I like burgers. Like a lot. I also rate them and put them on my map for others to see where to go or not to go when they are in an area I previously had a burger. Finally, I came around to have some more burgers with the restaurants starting to open up again. To end the discussion once and for all. A burger is made of beef and between two buns. Whatever buns or whatever toppings (although cheese is highly preferable). Anything else is a sandwich.
Recorded some early morning sounds while spending the past week on Texel (the biggest island of The Netherlands). Eventually planning to use some of the recorded sounds in some personal projects that I am planning to work on this year. Waking up with some rain, birds or just wind is relaxing in this high-paced society while chilling out for a week and resetting the brain. Feel free to use the audio for any personal or commercial project you like. Did minimal alterations to make the audio usable in different projects if you want to edit them yourself.
